Virtual Anarchy: A Ravencoin Asset

Virtual anarchy, also known as cyberanarchy, focuses on protecting privacy, economic freedom, and political freedom. It's based on the idea of using cryptographic software to ensure security and confidentiality when sending and receiving information over computer networks.

The word "anarchy" comes from the Greek words an, meaning "without", and archia, meaning "ruler". This means that anarchy is fundamentally defined by the absence of rulers.

Timothy C. May introduced the basic principles of crypto-anarchism in his 1988 "Crypto Anarchist Manifesto". These principles include encrypted exchanges that ensure total anonymity, total freedom of speech, and total freedom to trade.

Abstract

Virtual Anarchy is a Ravencoin Main Asset issued on 2018 -11-23  with a quantity of 2,000,001.

Initially created for testing and learning the capabilities of Ravencoin, the “admin asset” for Virtual Anarchy is intact for future use.

A messaging channel asset “ANNOUNCEMENT” was created 2020-06-19 to allow future communication to asset holders.

4 Unique Assets were created between 2022-01-03 and 2022-01-04 for demonstrating how the blockchain could be used to prove the ownership of artwork.

Introduction

Bitcoin has changed the way we look a digital value, ledgers, and how both are stored.[1] Ravencoin Assets are "tokens that can be issued by users of the Raven protocol without the need to be mined."[2] Digital scarcity is a limitation imposed by software that restricts the amount of a digital good, item, share or service that can exist in digital space.[3] Virtual Anarchy should not be considered a digitally scarce Ravencoin Asset since the admin asset allows for reissuance. Virtual Anarchy exists as a Ravencoin asset used to compare the advantages the Ravencoin "Asset Aware" protocol holds over other blockchain standards, such as Ethereum's ERC20. Advantages such as unique human-readable token names, token traceability, security and transparency are just a few of the reasons Ravencoin was selected as the parent blockchain.[4]

Blockchain

Ravencoin was chosen as the parent blockchain and Virtual Anarchy inherits the advantages of a Ravencoin Main Asset token. Ravencoin Assets are tracked using the UTXO model, giving them transparency over standards such as ERC-20. Ravencoin's transparent Proof-of-Work based UTXO model makes Virtual Anarchy auditable and transparent and avoids many shortcomings of other standards.[5] Ravencoin is a fairly launched purely Proof-of-Work blockchain with an ongoing commitment to ASIC resistance. This ASIC resistant Proof-of-Work approach provides further security and stability since Ravencoin is secured using real world energy.

Jackdaw

Holders of Virtual Anarchy were unknowingly included in the distribution of Jackdaw. This was a surprise since our small project, used for learning and teaching new technology, was now part of another experiment.
